Clarks has enlisted London designer Nicholas Daley for a special collaboration marking the brand’s 200th anniversary, which launched on Friday, August 29th, 2025. Daley reimagines the iconic Wallabee, first introduced in 1968, with a bold design inspired by his Jamaican-Scottish heritage.
The Clarks Originals x Nicholas Daley Wallabee features a striking blue-and-red tartan patchwork, crafted from suede, waxed leather and hairy suede, accented with unique stitching and branded flower bobs. Tartan laces — or tonal flat alternatives — complete the design.
The collaboration underscores Clarks’ longstanding cultural ties to Jamaica, a connection highlighted in past projects including Martine Rose’s creative direction and a Dancehall-inspired collection. For Daley, the project is deeply personal: his grandfather, a Jamaican shoemaker, wore Clarks himself.
Daley’s rising profile includes exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a Met Gala commission for Leon Bridges, and collaborations with brands such as Adidas, Mulberry and Carhartt WIP. His Clarks project follows his recent Pratt Fashion Visionary Award honor and arrives as the footwear brand celebrates its heritage with initiatives like Wallabee Day.
