Ayesha Curry’s Sweet July Skin has added a new chapter to its food-inspired beauty story: lip care. Launched in July, the brand debuted three nourishing treatments — Essential (Unscented), Lychee Jelly and Guava Jelly — each infused with the tropical flavours of Caribbean superfoods.
Two years in the making, the formulas are designed with both function and feel in mind. A metal cooling tip delivers a refreshing application, while “maxi lip peptide” technology creates a plush, hydrating finish without the tackiness common in glosses. Curry notes the treatments are versatile enough to wear alone or layered with lip liner, and stand out for their natural, flavour-forward approach.
Since its 2023 debut, Sweet July Skin has carved a niche in sensorial skincare, with products like the Coffee Fix Peptide Eye Cream and Soursop Vitamin C Serum highlighting the brand’s food-meets-beauty ethos. Curry, who has been candid about her lifelong struggle with problematic skin, built the line to offer effective products that integrate seamlessly into any routine.
For newcomers to the brand, Curry suggests the lip collection as the perfect introduction: “If someone’s wondering what to buy from us, the lip treatment is a great entry point,” she says. With its tropical flavours and innovative texture, the launch brings a taste of summer to everyday beauty.
