Samuel Ross is broadening the universe of his SR_A label with a second collection that champions social mobility while redefining power dressing. Moving beyond technical fabrics, Ross experiments with linen, wool, silk, deer skins, Napa leather, and ostrich feathers — luxurious yet comfort-driven pieces crafted in the U.K.
Highlights include two linen double-breasted suits, but statement parkas in bold hand-painted silk dominated the runway, priced around £3,000 each. Ross also introduced a utility-inspired daily uniform, a modern counterpart to the iconic Steve Jobs turtleneck, in compressed cotton poplin or refined wool and linen.
The collection reflects Ross’s multidisciplinary approach, drawing on sculpture and painting to inform his colour, material, and shape choices. It also marks a structural expansion: a larger team, fresh talent from Central Saint Martins, and senior tailors in Islington.
Looking ahead, SR_A will open its first private Paris showroom in September and begin wholesale, complementing its bespoke main line and ongoing multi-season collaboration with Zara.
